Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Vice President of Rastriya Swatantra Party Bagmati Province Dinesh Humagain has quit his party and joined the Nepali Congress. Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa welcomed him to the party today.

He had left the RSP a few days ago. Humagain had resigned from the post by submitting dissatisfaction on 7 points. He had accused the party of “extreme manipulation” in the selection of candidates for the House of Representatives and gave priority to those who flattered, appeased and revolved around the party cadres.

“Priority has been given to those who have recently come from other political parties over the party cadres,” he said, adding that those who are calling themselves social activists and sycophants have been fielded on the basis of selfish interests. ’

He also accused the party of lack of transparency in expansion of the central structure, serious questions on membership and financial management, violation of statute, attack on internal democracy, ignoring voice of the province and lower run, moral questions on the top leadership, structural distortions of the party and personal interests.
