Kathmandu. At present, there is a general influence of the westerly low pressure system in Nepal. Light rain and snowfall is taking place at some places of the hilly and mountainous region of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at one or two places of the hilly and mountainous region at present. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the weather will be generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous region of the country while the weather will be clear in the rest of the country.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, some places of the Tarai region will witness foggy weather in the morning today. According to Meteorological Forecasting Division, there will be generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces. The weather will be mainly fair in the Tarai region. Light rain or snowfall is likely to occur at some places of the hilly and mountainous region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and at one or two places of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Similarly, fog will occur in some places of Tarai region tonight. The weather will be generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki Province and in the mountainous region of other provinces. There will be partly cloudy in the rest of the hilly region. The weather will be mainly fair in the Tarai region. Light rain will occur in some places while light snowfall is predicted in high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

The Division has urged the residents of the areas predicted to witness fog, mist, snowfall and rain as well as to carry out daily activities including operating vehicles in these areas with caution.
