Gandaki. A total of 17 candidates are contesting in Kaski Constituency-2. Many people have eagerly watched this area which has the influence of CPN-UML.
In the previous election, UML candidate Bidya Bhattarai had won the election. Late. Bhattarai had won the Constituent Assembly elections in 2064 and 2070 and Bhattarai in 2074.
Madhav Kandel of Rastriya Swatantra Party came second and Srinath Baral of the alliance of Nepali Congress, then CPN (Maoist Centre) and CPN (S) came third. It is expected that there will be a tripartite clash here.
The Rastriya Swatantra Party has claimed that it will sideline the CPN-UML this time while the Nepali Congress has complained that it could not use its election symbol due to the alliance in the previous elections.
However, it said it was able to ask for votes under its own symbol this time, making it easier to give a tough fight to its rivals. The voters here are divided. Most of them have said that there will be competition between UML, NC and RPP.
Rashmi Acharya of the CPN-UML, Madhav Bastola of the Nepali Congress, Hem Bahadur Thapa of the Nepali Communist Party of Nepal, Uttam Prasad Poudel of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, Kushal Gurung of the Ujyalo Nepal Party and Hemjung Gurung of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party are in the fray.
The candidates who went to the villages to ask for votes said that they have given priority to corruption-free administration, employment generation, quality education and prosperity of the country.
Voters have urged the candidates to construct basic infrastructure in the villages of Chawadi, Kurling, Singarebas among other settlements of Bharatpokhari.
