Kathmandu. The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested an officer of Transport Management Office, Hetauda for taking bribe.
The CIAA raided the office based on information that Amrit Bhetwal, an officer at Transport Management Office at Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City, and Khagendra Poudel, an accountant, had demanded bribe from service seekers.
They were found to have taken a bribe of Rs 11,500 on the pretext of agreeing to transfer the vehicle.
According to the CIAA, both of them were taken under control from the Transport Management Office, Hetauda on Tuesday after confirming that they had taken the money.
