Kathmandu. CPN-UML Deputy General Secretary Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai has said that Jhapa is a sacred place for communists in Nepal.

Addressing an election corner meet at Kamal Rural Municipality of Jhapa-5 on Sunday, he said the UML’s victory in Jhapa was linked to the victory of the entire communist movement. “The victory or defeat of KP Sharma Oli is not only linked with the CPN-UML, his victory or defeat is linked to the victory or defeat of the country,” he said.

He made it clear that the victory or defeat of Oli is directly related to the self-respect of the country and the Nepali people. According to him, this issue is related to Nepali nationality, self-respect and Nepaliness. “The victory of KP Oli is a matter to lift up the self-respect, nationality and make us proud of the Nepali identity,” he said.

Deputy General Secretary Bhattarai said that there was no time to raise the party’s internal issues in the present situation. He stressed that the need of the hour is to come together to make the party victorious.

Stating that some within the party were responsible for running the organization, some were working in the parliament and some were working at the local level, he said there was no need of unnecessary discussion on this issue. He stressed that all the leaders and cadres of the party should fulfill their responsibilities from their respective places.
