Damauli. Independent candidate Sandesh Laudari has announced that he will support Nepali Congress candidate Govinda Bhattarai by resigning his candidacy from Tanahun constituency-1.

More than two hundred youths formally joined the NC under the leadership of Laudari amidst a special program organized on Sunday evening. Laudari has made it clear that he has joined the Congress realizing that the need of the hour is to support honest leaders without following any kind of opportunism.

He claimed that his group would fully support around one thousand six hundred votes to ensure Bhattarai’s victory. Welcoming the newcomers, candidate Govinda Bhattarai recalled his time as the central president of the Nepal Student Union (NSU) and said that he has always understood the sentiments of the youths (Gen-G) and represented them.

Recalling that incumbent President Gagan Kumar Thapa had taken his political career forward by giving the NSU ticket when he was young, he said that he would always play a significant role in bringing youths to the leadership.

Stating that he has been active in anti-corruption campaign since his youth, Bhattarai said the main demand of the new generation was good governance, ending corruption and creating employment opportunities in the country.

Bhattarai said, “I have been fighting in the field of struggle raising the demands of the youths since yesterday, and I will move ahead hand in hand with the youths for the development of Tanahun to lose your trust.” u
