Kathmandu. KATHMANDU — The Kathmandu District Police Range has made public information about the prohibited materials in the polling booths in view of the upcoming elections. According to the police, various types of equipment and materials have been completely banned inside the polling centers in view of the security reasons.
According to the police, communication equipment including cameras used for taking photos and videos will not be allowed inside the polling stations. Similarly, electronic devices that can be recorded such as mobiles, smart watches, tablets have also been banned.
Likewise, combustible materials such as matchsticks, lighters, petrol, diesel and acid are not allowed inside the polling stations. Sharp and dangerous weapons such as knives, khukuri, pistols, sticks have also been completely banned, police said.
Liquids that could damage ballots — such as ink, juice, water or other colors — are also not allowed to be transported to the polling station. They are also barred from entering polling stations under the influence of alcohol or other drugs.
Likewise, the election code of conduct has also prohibited the election symbols such as flags, caps, T-shirts, bags and badges from the polling stations, police said.
