Nepal Army will provide security support to those involved in illegal activities in elections: Home Minister Aryal

Kathmandu. Minister for Home Affairs Om Prakash Aryal has said that the government would take legal action against those involved in any illegal activities during the elections and present the guilty to the court.

Speaking at an interaction programme organised at the Home Ministry today, he informed the Home Ministry about plans to provide security assistance by Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and the Nepal Army if necessary.

“All the security mechanisms have been mobilized at the polling stations. ”

He said that voting security has been fully ensured across the country for Thursday’s election to the members of the House of Representatives.

In an interaction with media persons at the Ministry of Home Affairs today, Spokesperson Aryal expressed the belief that the elections would be more robust, fair and fear-free than before.

Urging the voters to vote wisely, Home Minister Aryal said, “The election will not only help in electing representatives but also in maintaining political good governance.” Voters will vote wisely. ”

Making it clear that the ballot paper management process would be as per the integrated election security plan as in the past, he said the arrangement of bringing the ballot boxes to the concerned election offices after the completion of voting would be done as per the plan.
