Kathmandu. KATHMANDU — VVIP office-bearers, political leaders and prominent personalities of the country are taking their vote in the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 4. Like in the previous elections, they will go to the polling station where their voters’ list is registered and cast their ballots.
Prime Minister Sushila Karki will cast her vote from a polling centre in Dhapasi of Tokha municipality, according to the PM’s press advisor Ram Bahadur Rawal. National Assembly Chairman Narayan Prasad Dahal will cast his vote from a polling station at Shantipur of Nepal Police School in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-14 of Chitwan.
Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa will cast his vote from a polling station in Maitidevi Mayur Kunda in Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RPP) President Rabi Lamichhane will cast his vote from the Upatyaka Khanepani Limited (Upatyaka Khane) polling centre in Chuchepati, Kathmandu.
Former President Ram Baran Yadav is scheduled to cast his vote from the BP Koirala Secondary School polling centre in Laxminiya Rural Municipality-4 of Dhanusha while another former President Bidya Devi Bhandari will cast her vote from the then VDC building polling centre in Bhangal of Budhanilkantha Municipality-2 in Kathmandu.
Nepali Congress (NC) former President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba will not cast his vote this time as he is out of the country as his polling station is Ruwakhola, Asigram Secondary School in Ganyapdhura Rural Municipality-1 of Dadeldhura.
CPN-UML Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will cast his vote at the polling centre set up at the Mahendra Shanti Secondary School in Balkot, Suryabinayak Municipality-2 in Bhaktapur.
Similarly, former Prime Minister and coordinator of Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ will cast his vote from the Nepal Police School Shantipur polling station in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-14 of Chitwan. Nepali Communist Party (NCP) joint-coordinator and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal will cast his vote from a polling station at Ram Janaki Kanya Basic School in Rautahat.
Senior leader of the same party Jhalanath Khanal has been included in the voting list at the polling centre of the National Basic School at Ramphok of Suryodaya Municipality-9 in Ilam.
Former Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai will cast his vote from a polling station set up at Annapurna Secondary School in Khoplang of Palungtar Municipality in Gorkha Constituency No. 2. Former Chairman of the Council of Ministers Khilraj Regmi will cast his vote from the Sano Gaucharan Park polling station in Old Baneshwor, Kathmandu.
Likewise, Acting Chief Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari will cast his vote at the Milan Vidya Mandir polling centre in Anamnagar, Kathmandu. Election Commissioner Dr Janaki Kumari Tuladhar will cast her vote from Mahendra Secondary School Parewadanda of Sundarbazaar Municipality-2 and Commissioner Sagun Shumsher Rana will cast her vote from the polling station in Tokha Municipality-4. Chief Secretary Suman Raj Aryal will cast his vote from the Lordlight Academy polling station in Gokarneshwor Municipality-6.
Upendra Yadav, chairman of the Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal, cast his vote at the Vigyan Bhawan polling centre in Biratnagar-14 of Morang. Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairman Rajendra Lingden will cast his vote at the ward office of Haldibari Rural Municipality-1 in Jhapa district.
Likewise, Chairman of Nepal Workers and Peasants Party Narayan Man Bijukchhe is casting his vote from a polling station set up at Vidyarthi Niketan Secondary School in Bhaktapur Municipality-5.
Kulman Ghising, the chairman of the Ujyalo Nepal Party, will cast his vote from the polling centre at Mahankal, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-6. Likewise, Labour and Culture Party Chair Harka Raj Rai will cast his vote from a polling centre at Dharan Sub-metropolis-18, Carmel School, Buddha Chowk.
Nepali Congress leader Prakash Man Singh at a polling station at Nepal Yuvak Secondary School in Paknazol, leader Dr Shekhar Koirala at a polling station at Biratnagar-7 in Morang, senior leader of the Communist Party of Nepal Narayan Kaji Shrestha at a polling centre at Paropakar Adarsha Secondary School ‘A’ polling centre in Siranchowk Rural Municipality-8, Gorkha, CPN-UML General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel at a polling station at Janata Sanskrit Secondary School in Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-18, Bijauri and UML Deputy General Secretary Yogesh Bhattarai at a polling station at Maiwakhola Rural Municipality in Taplejung district. They are voting.
Nepali Congress (NC) Vice-President Bishwa Prakash Sharma will cast his vote from the Kabi Shiromani Secondary School polling station at Mechinagar-9 in Jhapa, Bimalendra Nidhi will cast his vote at the Shree Rajeshwor Nidhi Secondary School polling station in Nagarain Municipality-2 of Dhanusha, Krishna Prasad Sitaula will cast his vote from the polling station at Kalwalgudi Primary School in Bhadrapur Municipality-10 and UML senior leader Ishwor Pokharel will cast his vote at the Dhapasi polling station in Tokha Municipality-6.
CPN-UML leader Surendra Pandey cast his vote at Bhandara Hospital in Rapti Municipality-5, Progressive Democratic Party and former Finance Minister Janardan Sharma from Yamuna Nanda Secondary School polling station at Musikot Municipality-5, Serigaun and Nepal Communist Party (NCP) leader Barshaman Pun from Baludaya Secondary School in Rolpa Municipality-7.
Similarly, Vice-President of Rastriya Swatantra Party DP Aryal will cast his vote from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-16 while Swarnim Wagle will cast his vote from Gorkha Martyr Lakhan Thapa Rural Municipality.
Centenarian and former member of the National Human Rights Commission, Gauri Shankarlal Das, will cast his vote from the polling station at Sifalchaur of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-7. Former Vice-Chancellor of Tribhuvan University Kedar Bhakta Mathema will cast his vote from the Rajghat polling centre in Lalitpur Metropolitan City-2, Sanepa.
President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Chandra Prasad Dhakal cast his vote from Bishal Milan Kendra in Bishal Nagar of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Birendra Raj Pandey, President of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) Birendra Raj Pandey from the Agricultural Materials Corporation polling station at Kuleshwor and Chairman of Nepal Chamber of Commerce Kamlesh Kumar Agrawal from Padmakanya Secondary School in Dilli Bazaar, Kathmandu.
Actor Rajesh Hamal will cast his vote from Janath Memorial Secondary School in Lainchaur, actress Karishma Manandhar will cast his vote at the ward office of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-3 and actor Bhuwan KC will cast his vote at Kathmandu Metropolitan City-2.
