40 per cent voter turnout recorded in Jhapa

Jhapa. Chief District Officer (CDO) Shivalal Gelal said voting was taking place in a peaceful and enthusiastic manner.

Voters are enthusiastically casting their ballots from 815 polling stations in 285 polling stations in the district. Voting is taking place in a peaceful environment at all the polling stations.

Chief Minister of Koshi Province Hikmat Kumar Karki, Nepali Congress Vice President Bishwa Prakash Sharma, Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairman Rajendra Lingden, former Speaker Devraj Ghimire and former Deputy Speaker Indira Rana Magar among others have cast their votes from their respective polling stations.

According to Chief Election Officer Umesh Luitel, 40 per cent voter turnout has been recorded in the district so far.
