RSP leading in preliminary vote count

Kathmandu. The counting of votes has begun after voting concluded across the country on Thursday. The results of the preliminary vote count show that the candidates of the Rastriya Swatantra Party are far ahead.

The counting of votes has begun in all the constituencies of Kathmandu. Similarly, the RSP has taken the lead in Bhaktapur, Chitwan, Lalitpur, Dang, Bhaktapur, Rupandehi and Morang-1, Gulmi.

At the time of filing this report, the counting of votes in various constituencies of Kathmandu is underway. The Election Commission has provided preliminary details of different areas of Kathmandu.

As per the details provided by the Election Commission, Rastriya Swatantra Party candidate Pradip Bista has garnered 2,551 votes in Kathmandu-10. Himal Karki of Nepali Congress got 545 votes and Binod Shrestha of CPN-UML got 286 votes. Rastriya Prajatantra Party’s Balaram Thapa got 204 votes, Rakesh Neupane of Ujjyalo Nepal got 78 votes and Rupa Maharjan of Nepali Communist Party got 54 votes.

Similarly, in Kathmandu-8, Biraj Bhakta Shrestha of Rastriya Swatantra Party has got 3,290 votes, Sapana Rajbhandari of Nepali Congress has 349 votes and Suman Sayami of Nepali Communist Party has got 348 votes. Likewise, Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP)’s Nabin Shahi got 236 votes and CPN-UML’s Rajesh Shakya got 231 votes.

Similarly, in Kathmandu-7, Rastriya Swatantra Party’s Ganesh Parajuli got 1,481 votes, CPN-UML’s Prakash Shrestha got 308 votes, Nepali Congress’s Pramod Hari Guragain got 282 votes and Nepali Communist Party’s Basanta Prasad Manandhar got 208 votes.

As per the latest Kathmandu constituency 1, Rastriya Swatantra Party’s Ranju Neupane got 3,129 votes, Nepali Congress’s Prabal Thapa Chhetri got 1,695 votes, Rastriya Prajatantra Party’s Rabindra Mishra got 882 votes and CPN-UML’s Mohan Raj Regmi got 272 votes.

In Kathmandu-2, Sunil KC of Rastriya Swatantra Party got 424 votes, Maniram Phuyal of CPN-UML got 236 votes and Kabir Sharma of Nepali Congress got 194 votes.

Similarly, Kulman Ghising of Ujjyalo Nepal Party has got 1,846 votes in Kathmandu-3. Rajunath Pandey of Rastriya Swatantra Party got 1,560 votes, Ramesh Aryal of Nepali Congress got 583 votes and Rameshwor Phuyal of CPN-UML got 456 votes.

As per the Election Commission’s 4:30 am, Rastriya Swatantra Party’s Pukar Bam got 865 votes, CPN-UML’s Rajan Bhattarai got 274 votes, Nepali Congress’s Sachin Timilsina got 213 votes and Ujyalo Nepal Party’s Jhanak Bahadur Adhikari got 100 votes.

Similarly, in Kathmandu-5, Rastriya Swatantra Party’s Sasmit Pokharel got 1,424 votes, Nepali Congress’s Pradip Poudel got 412 votes, CPN-UML’s Ishwar Pokharel got 285 votes and Rastriya Prajatantra Party’s Kamal Thapa got 55 votes. However, details of other areas are yet to be received.
