Kathmandu. Nepali Congress (NC) Vice President Bishwa Prakash Sharma has accepted the results of the House of Representatives elections. At a time when the party was facing a humiliating defeat as per the preliminary results of the elections, Vice-President Sharma said that the decision of the voters was acceptable by restraint.

He welcomed the result saying that the RSP is coming to the party repeating the same restraint as the Maoists emerged victorious from the armed conflict in 2006.

Vice-president Sharma said that this result of the RSP was not unexpected. He said that the RSP had already shown this signal in the 2079 elections and the result is not unexpected.

The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) was formed in June 2079 BS and became the fourth largest party with the recognition of a national party when it contested the elections in November.

According to the preliminary counting of votes, it is almost certain that the RSP will get two-thirds of the votes.

In the 2079 elections, the Congress became the single largest party.

The decision of the voters is acceptable, reiterating the restraint of welcoming the Maoists who emerged from the ‘bullet’ and welcomed the RSP coming through the ballot. This is not unexpected in terms of the signs presented in 079. High hopes should not turn into another disappointment, there will be both support and caution on the main question of the country.
