Persa. Counting of votes has begun in Parsa House of Representatives constituency-3.

According to election officer Buddhilal Shrestha, Rastriya Swatantra Party’s candidate Ramakanta Prasad Chaurasia was leading with 1,051 votes out of 2,485 votes counted. Likewise, NC’s Surendra Prasad Chaudhary got 771 votes and CPN-UML’s Rupesh Pandey got 238 votes.

A total of 23 candidates, including 14 from various political parties and nine independents, are contesting in the constituency. Out of 96,542 voters in the constituency, 67,504 votes were cast in the first-past-the-post category.
