Kathmandu. In Bhaktapur-1, Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP) secretary Prem Suwal was defeated by 5,289 votes.
Ranjit Dahal garnered 33,436 votes in the counting of votes, according to Chief Election Officer Nawaraj Dahal.
His nearest rival was NC secretary Suwal who got 28,147 votes. Likewise, NC’s Kiran Neupane got 4,282 votes and CPN-UML’s Som Mishra got 3,721 votes.
Bhaktapur-1 has been regarded as the stronghold of Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP) for many years. This time, the RSP has stopped it. This time, Ranjit of the Rastriya Samajwadi Party did not even allow the guarantee of other parties except the Nepal Workers and Peasants Party to be saved.
The Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP) has been winning Bhaktapur-1 since 1992. No other party was allowed to enter.
According to the locals, the NWPP has done a good job. According to the locals, the government has done excellent work in waste management, education, health and heritage conservation. It has won the hearts of the locals.
That is why the NWPP had been gaining ground in this area.
But this time, the NWPP’s dominance was broken. The loud sound of bells ringing across the country not only knocked down the madal in Bhaktapur-1, but also the madal broke.
In the previous elections, the Nepali Congress, UML and CPN (Maoist Center) worked hard to break the dominance of NWPP in Bhaktapur. That was not possible. This time, the NWPP’s plan to keep ringing the bell failed.
The NWPP had won 1 in 1990, 4 in 2051, 1 in 2056, 5 in 2064, 4 in 2070 and 1 each in 2074 and 2079.
This time, the bell that was ringing across the country has also rang very well in Bhaktapur-1.
