Rastriya Janata Party (RSP) candidate Sobita won by 38,600 votes

Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Sobita Gautam has been elected from Chitwan constituency-3 with a huge number of votes. Gautam won the election with 59,277 votes.

His nearest rival was Renu Dahal of Communist Party of Nepal who got 20,615 votes. The difference between Gautam and Dahal is 38,662.

In the election, NC’s Tek Prasad Gurung got 8,344 votes and UML’s Shankar Raj Thapaliya got 5,004 votes. The deposits of both the candidates of the Congress and the CPN-UML have been forfeited.

In the 2012 elections, Bikram Pandey of Rastriya Prajatantra Party had won from this constituency with more than 34,000 votes. Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) candidate Dipak Thapa Magar garnered only 1,226 votes.
