Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Balendra Shah has been elected from Jhapa-5. He defeated CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli by a huge margin.
Shah secured 68,348 votes in the election to the House of Representatives. Oli garnered 18,734 votes against Shah. He lost to Oli Shah by 49,614 votes.
