Chitwan. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Hari Dhakal has been elected from Chitwan constituency-1. He garnered 58,208 votes.

His nearest rival was NC’s Rajendra Prasad Burlakoti who got 13,033 votes. CPN-UML’s Dawa Dorje Lama got 10,899 votes and Nepali Communist Party (NCP) candidate Krishna Panta got 4,081 votes. Dhakal was earlier elected from the same constituency.

Out of 149,641 voters, 96,154 votes were cast in this constituency.
