Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Prakash Gautam has been elected from Makawanpur constituency-1 with more than double the votes.
He garnered 36,033 votes.
He defeated his nearest rival Mahalaxmi Upadhyay of Nepali Congress by 14,038 votes.
Rameshwor Rana of CPN-UML got 12,783 votes. Bijaya Gautam of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) got 10,788 votes and Surendra Lama of Ujjyalo Nepal got 10,205 votes.
Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP)’s Deepak Bahadur Singh is in the sixth position. He garnered 4,574 votes.
Likewise, Bidya Shrestha of Labour and Culture Party got 1,024 votes. A total of 95,310 votes were cast in constituency 1.
