Gorkha. Gorkha: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Sudhan Gurung has been elected from Gorkha-1 under the first-past-the-post (FPTP) category.

Gurung of the Rastriya Samajwadi Party won the election with 29,896 votes, according to information officer at the Election Office, Rabilal Subedi. He defeated his nearest rival Prem Kumar Khatri of Nepali Congress by 14,498 votes. Nepali Congress candidate Khatri garnered 15,398 votes.

Similarly, Hariraj Adhikari of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) got 11,124 votes. Likewise, CPN-UML’s Ram Chandra Lamichhane got 3,732 votes.
