Khotang. Khotang, which has only one constituency for the House of Representatives, has emerged as the first Labour Culture Party in the proportional representation category.

Voters who had elected Aren Rai to the House of Representatives with 16,612 votes in the first-past-the-post (FPTP) category gave more votes to the Labour and Culture Party in the district.

Out of the total 63,257 votes cast under the proportional representation category, the Labour and Culture Party bagged 18,137 votes. Likewise, CPN-UML got second and Nepali Congress got third highest number of votes.

The CPN-UML has garnered 11,385 votes while the NC has garnered 10,705 votes. The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has secured 8,879 votes under the proportional representation category. The ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) secured 7,274 votes while the Rastriya Paribartan Party secured 1,244 votes.
