Kathmandu. Cloudy condition has remained in the hilly and mountainous areas of the country due to the influence of the westerly wind, the high pressure system in the upper atmosphere and the low pressure area near the eastern part of the country.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there will be fog in some places of Tarai and Kathmandu Valley. There will be cloudy in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

Likewise, there are chances of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at some places of the hilly and mountainous region of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. According to Meteorological Forecasting Division, light rain along with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at one or two places of the Tarai region of Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.

Similarly, there will be generally cloudy in the hilly region of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces tonight. Light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely to occur at one or two places of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

The Division has urged the people of the places forecasting rain and snowfall along with thunder and lightning to stay alert.
