Kathmandu. KATHMANDU — The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is set to lose a few seats in the House of Representatives election for two-thirds majority. The party is close to two-thirds of the party.
The RSP has won 125 seats under the FPTP and 57 seats under the proportional representation system. The Election Commission is determining the number of seats for this.
The RSP is expected to win 182 seats in the first-past-the-post (PR) category. For two-thirds, 2 seats will be reduced.
A total of 184 seats are needed for two-thirds of the 275-member House of Representatives. Out of 107,77,766 votes in the proportional representation category, the RSP has secured 5,150,858 votes. This is 47.79 percent of the total votes.
Nepali Congress is expected to win 20 seats in the proportional representation (PR) category. The Congress has won 18 seats. The Nepali Congress has garnered 17,54,695 votes. The Nepali Congress will have 38 seats in the House of Representatives.
The UML will get 16 seats under the proportional representation system. It won 9 seats. The House of Representatives will have 25 seats.
The UML has garnered 14,52,074 votes.
The Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) has won 9 seats under the proportional representation (PR) category. It won 8 seats. The NCP will have 16 seats in the House of Representatives. NCP has secured 809,290 votes in the proportional representation category.
Similarly, Labour and Culture Party will get 4 seats under PR category. Labor Culture has won 3 seats directly. There will be a total of 7 seats. It received 3,85,689 votes.
Similarly, RPP, which won 1 seat in the FPTP, will get 4 seats under PR system. With this, there will be a total of 5 seats in the assembly. RPP has secured 3,30,118 votes in the proportional representation category.
