. The second meeting of the emergency response team led by Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday.

The meeting reviewed the efforts made so far by the government for security and protection of Nepali citizens in the West Asian countries.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting decided to continue the necessary coordination and initiatives to ensure the safety of Nepalis, study the feasibility of operation of air flights and extend support to those who come in contact with the Emergency Control Room Nepal’s missions.

Tensions in the West Asian country have escalated since the United States and Israel launched a joint airstrike against Iran on March 21. There are many Nepalis in these countries in course of employment.
