Kathmandu. Sudan Gurung has demanded installation of telecommunication towers in various remote areas of the district immediately after being elected from Gorkha-1. Lawmaker Gurung, who was elected from the Rastriya Swatantra Party, has written a letter to Nepal Telecom for this.
In a letter dated March 12, 2082, he stated that some places in Gorkha district were still deprived of telecommunication service and urged the government to install telephone towers in these areas and expand the service. Stating that the local people were facing difficulties in using mobile and internet services due to remote geographical conditions, he requested the concerned authorities to make arrangements for installing towers at the concerned places at the earliest.
In the letter, he has mentioned Arughat, Lapu, Film, Chumnubri, Dharche, Gumda, Siranchowk, Likhan, Ajirkot and Barpak Sulikot, among other places.
