Details of those injured in the Jenji protests made public

Kathmandu. The details of those injured during the Genji protests on September 23 and 24 have been made public.

Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population Dr Prakash Budhathoki said the details were made public as per the names collected from hospitals where they were treated during the agitation period.

A total of 2,638 people have been treated at 99 hospitals across the country, he said. “We have been collecting details of the injured from all the hospitals where they were treated during the agitation. The details of all the injured were delayed due to delay in receiving details from some hospitals. The details of all the injured have been sent to the Home Ministry,” Budhathoki said.

As per the details, details of 2,522 people injured on October 14, 77 on January 18 and 39 more on March 14 have been sent to the Home Ministry. According to Spokesperson Dr Budhathoki, the highest number of injured 458 people have been treated at the Civil Service Hospital in New Baneshwor. Similarly, 203 people were treated at Nepal Police Hospital, 190 at National Trauma Centre and 108 at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.
