Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has pledged to take action against those creating artificial shortage of cooking gas and fuel and black marketeering.

Mahesh Kafle, chief of KMC’s administrative department, said KMC has activated the monitoring mechanism after complaints were received that the consumers were not given cooking gas despite the availability of cooking gas, that they were charging exorbitant price for not getting cooking gas and that the fuel depots were returning the consumers saying that there was no stock of cooking gas.TAG_OPEN_div_22
