Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushila Karki today inspected the service delivery of the Kathmandu District Administration Office (DAO).

Prime Minister Karki reached the administration office at Babarmahal and inquired about the public announcement system adopted in the service delivery.

She also interacted with the clients.

Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, Ishwor Raj Poudel, said that an information technology-based system was being implemented to provide service in an easy and hassle-free manner.

He said that after the implementation of this system where the service recipients can take the service within a certain time by taking a token, the complaints have been zero and the role of intermediaries has also ended.

According to him, every counter and branch of the office can be monitored through CCTV, which receives an average of 1,000 service seekers on a daily basis. Complaints or workplace complications are addressed from place to place. The service is provided with Wi-Fi, hot water and cold water.

CDO Poudel said that this model of service delivery has been adopted in order to address the voice of good governance raised by the youths during the Genji movement and it has been dedicated to the Genji warriors. He said that coordination and collaboration have been made with the local levels of Kathmandu district for the implementation of the system.

He said, “The successful implementation of this system has proved that we can address all the customers and bring happiness on their faces.” That’s why we’ve dedicated it to the Genji Good Governance Warrior. ’

Appreciating the system adopted to deliver services to the people, Prime Minister Karki said that it was necessary to implement this system in the offices across the country where there is pressure of service seekers.

“The model work started by the Kathmandu administration to address the voice of good governance raised by Genji youths on the streets is commendable,” she said, adding, “We could not do it in offices across the country in a short tenure.” But that’s where we started. Now we need to expand the office with more pressure of service seekers across the country. ’

Prime Minister Karki, who is also the former Chief Justice, recalled that she had taken the initiative to establish a similar system in the judiciary and expressed happiness that she was able to see the same vision in the administration office today.

“I congratulate and thank the Chief District Officer and all the employees of the office for this,” she said. That’s what we’re looking for. This is what Genji is looking for. This is an example of what can be done and done. Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal was also present on the occasion.
