Kanchanpur. Hari Prasad Shrestha of Manani Chowk in Chandani municipality-4 has been identified as the victim of murdering his 75-year-old mother Bindra Shrestha and injuring his sister with a sharp weapon.

According to Kanchanpur District Police Office’s information officer Hem Bahadur Shahi, the accused’s mother died on the spot in the incident that took place last night.

Bhagawati Majhi, who was injured in the attack, is undergoing treatment at Mahakali Provincial Hospital. The search for the absconding accused continues. Information Officer Shahi said that land dispute was the main reason behind the incident.
