Kathmandu. Pokhara—A second case has been filed at the Special Court on the charge of corruption at Pokhara Regional International Airport. The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against 21 individuals and two companies, including the then tourism secretary Kedar Bahadur Adhikari.
The anti-graft body has named 21 individuals including the then tourism secretary Kedar Bahadur Adhikari and two companies as defendants. The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) had submitted the details that it was investigating the issue of revenue waiver and other issues related to the construction of Pokhara Airport and would file the case soon.
The anti-graft body has demanded Rs 460 million, 15 lakh, 84 thousand 434 rupees. The other main defendants are Director General of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) Sanjeev Gautam and Rajan Pokharel, Deputy Director General Mahendra Singh Rawal and Director Late Late Dhruva Das Bhochhibhoya.
Similarly, the then project directors Pradip Adhikari and Baburam Poudel, manager Chandmala Shrestha, deputy director Prabin Neupane, officer Rajaram Chaudhary, deputy manager Himjyoti Thapa, senior account officer Narendra Raj Sainju, account ÷officer Pramod Nepal and Sabin Phuyal have also been named as defendants. In addition, the then project chief of Pokhara Regional International Airport Construction Project, Binesh Munakarmi, is also included in this list.
