Kathmandu. Nepal imported fuel and gas worth Rs 162.73 billion in the first eight months of the current fiscal year 2082/83.
According to the Department of Customs, diesel worth Rs 82.10 billion, petrol worth Rs 43.89 billion and LP gas worth Rs 37.31 billion were imported in the review period.
Likewise, imports of soybean oil amounted to Rs 81.18 billion, smartphones worth Rs 29.93 billion, iron products worth Rs 36.82 billion, gold worth Rs 23.49 billion and silver worth Rs 18.44 billion.
Soybean oil is in the first place among the goods exported by Nepal. In the last eight months, soybean oil worth Rs 75.77 billion has been exported.
Likewise, cardamom worth Rs 6.49 billion, carpet worth Rs 6.53 billion, sunflower oil worth Rs 6.20 billion and palm oil worth Rs 4.32 billion were exported to the country.
