Mountains. Driver Sajjan Pariyar died when a jeep met with an accident along the Kaligandaki Highway along the Kushma-Falebas road section at Mudikuwa of Phalebas municipality-4 this morning.

The jeep (Ga 1 Ja 8029) en route to Phalebas municipality carrying urea fertilizer from the district headquarters Kushma Bazaar had fallen some 30 meters down from the road on Monday evening.

According to Police Inspector Dinesh Poudel of District Police Office, the 35-year-old jeep driver was alone in the jeep. Driver Pariyar died on the way to the State Hospital.

Police suspect that the accident might have occurred due to slippery road due to rain. APF Superintendent of Police Kshitij Chhetri said the rescue operation was carried out by a team deputed from the Armed Police Force’s Chandika battalion and the District Police Office.
