Kathmandu. There is some influence of westerly as well as local winds in the country at present.

The weather is generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous areas of the country including Koshi, Madhes and Lumbini provinces while it is partly cloudy in the rest of the country.

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division said light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is taking place at one or two places of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the weather will be generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous region of the country including Koshi Province towards the afternoon while it will be partly cloudy in the Tarai region.

Light rain or snowfall is likely to occur at some places of the hilly and mountainous region of Koshi, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Karnali Province and at one or two places of hilly region of Koshi Province and Gandaki Province.

Similarly, there will be partly cloudy in the hilly region and fair in the Tarai region tonight.
