Kathmandu. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there is some influence of westerly low pressure system as well as local wind in the country at present. Due to this, cloudy condition and rain and snowfall have been forecast in many parts of the country.

The weather is generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous region of the country including in the Sudurpaschim Province while the weather is mainly clear in the rest of the Tarai area. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is taking place at some places of the hilly and mountainous regions of Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province and at one or two places of Koshi Province.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there will be generally cloudy in the hilly region and partly cloudy in the Tarai region towards the afternoon. Likewise, moderate rain along with thundershower and snowfall is likely to occur at many places of the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at a few places of the hilly and mountainous regions of the country. Some places of the Tarai are also likely to witness moderate rainfall.

Tonight, there will be generally cloudy in the hilly region including Koshi and Madhesh and partly cloudy in the hilly region. Likewise, moderate rain with thunder, lightning, gusty winds and hail is likely to occur at some places of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and at a few places of the hilly and mountainous regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

The Division has urged the general public and the bodies concerned to stay alert for the latest weather updates regarding the possibility of rainfall, snowfall and storm in many places of the hilly and mountainous region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at some places of the rest of the provinces.
