Tanhun. KATHMANDU: Vice-President of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Swarnim Wagle has been re-elected as Finance Minister for the second term from Tanahun Constituency No. 1. Rastriya Samajwadi Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane had said that Dr Wagle would be made the Finance Minister before the election.

Locals of Tanahun Constituency No. 1 are elated that the lawmaker elected from their constituency has been appointed as the important responsibility of the country. Dr Wagle was re-elected from the constituency for the second time. He won the by-election for the first time with 34,911 votes. Dr. Wagle was elected to the House of Representatives for the second time with 38,040 votes.

The people of Tanahun are even more happy after Wagle, who is known as an economist, policy expert and planningist, has been appointed as the Finance Minister. Manoj Adhikari, a resident of Myagde of Tanahun district, said that he was happy with Dr Wagle’s responsibility as the Finance Minister. “Dr Wagle is a person capable of improving the country’s economy. It is a matter of pride for all of us to have him as the Finance Minister of the district. ”

Siddhanta Garja Magar of Bandipur expressed the belief that Dr Wagle would be successful in advancing economic policy, good governance, economic reform and quality infrastructure along with social justice.

Although Wagle was born in Gorkha district, he started his parliamentary career from Tanahun. Dr. Wagle, who was brought up in a normal environment, studied at an internationally renowned university and made his own identity in the country and abroad.

After completing his higher education, Wagle has also served as the Vice-Chairman of the National Planning Commission after returning to Nepal.
