Karki Commission has recommended 10 years in prison and a fine of 10 years.

. The Balendra Sah (Balen)-led government has decided to take action against the then Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak and IGP Chandra Kuber Khapung. The Balen government is to implement the report of the commission formed under the coordination of Gauri Bahadur Karki to study the Genji movement.

The first meeting of the Balen Shah-led Council of Ministers held on Friday has been implementing the report of the Karki Commission. Former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak and IGP Chandra Kuber Khapung have been booked for their involvement in the anti-Jinji movement.

The commission has recommended a jail term of 3 to 10 years and a fine ranging from Rs 30,TAG_OPEN_div_4 000 to Rs 100,000.  The commission had recommended the enforcement of Sections 181 and 182 of the Civil Code, 2074. According to the suggestion, these people will come under the purview of action.
