Kathmandu. Nepali Congress leader and former Energy Minister Deepak Khadka has been arrested by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police this morning.
Khadka was arrested from Maharajgunj on Sunday morning, according to the CIB. He was arrested on a money laundering charge.
The arrest warrant issued by the CIB reads, “This arrest warrant has been issued in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Civil Criminal Procedure Code 2074 (related to sub-section (6) of Section 9 as you had to be arrested immediately in connection with the investigation of the offence related to money laundering.” ’’
