Kathmandu. The newly elected members of the House of Representatives have to submit their property details by May 26.
The Parliamentarian Facilitation Section of the Federal Parliament Secretariat has asked the newly elected parliamentarians to submit their property details by May 23.
Clause 50 (1) of the Prevention of Corruption Act 2059 and sub-section (1) of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority Act, 2048 BS have a provision that a person holding a public post is required to submit property details.
As per the Act, a person should submit an updated property statement along with source of property within 60 days from the date of assuming public office.
“The honorable members of the House of Representatives have submitted the updated property details of the fiscal year 2081÷082 till May 23, 2008 in a sealed envelope mentioning the following details. This notice has been published as per the instructions to register the students in room number 207 of Ward No. 1 within office hours,” the notice reads.
