Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation has directed the government to prohibit the entry of unauthorized persons (middlemen) in all land-related offices.
As per the directive of Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Pratibha Rawal on Wednesday, the concerned department has sent a letter to the survey offices and land revenue offices across the country only after checking the identity documents.
In the letter, there have been complaints that middlemen have entered the offices under various pretexts and have access to important documents and records of the office, so now only those with identity documents should be allowed to enter the office.
The ministry has said that the move has increased due to the increase in the uncontrolled access of middlemen and unauthorized people to the confidential and sensitive documents of the office.
Raising serious questions about the crowd in different areas of the office and the security of documents, the office chief will be responsible if the entry of unauthorized persons is not stopped. After prohibiting intermediaries, the service recipients will be able to get the service easily by showing applications and documents.
The letter reads, “The Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation 1130 dated 2081-11-15 in order to make effective and quality service delivery, in order to prohibit the entry of authorized persons (intermediaries) in the office, to make arrangements to allow entry only on the basis of identity documents and to immediately deny such unauthorized persons access to government records documents as per the decision dated 2081-11-15 (Secretary level).
It is also requested that the monitoring of the provision would be carried out at any time regarding the implementation of the provision or not, and the chief of the office concerned would be responsible if it was found not implemented.
The directives of the Ministry should be strictly enforced, the employees should compulsorily wear identity cards, make arrangements to enter the office only after showing the identity documents and to make arrangements to enter the office with applications or documents to avoid unnecessary crowding in the office, and to make arrangements to allow only the concerned person to enter the office by showing the information about it. It is requested as per the order.
