Kathmandu. The weather is partly cloudy in some parts of the country while the weather is generally cloudy in some places of the country at present with the influence of the Westerly and local winds.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the weather will be generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces while it will be partly cloudy in the rest of the country. Light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is taking place at one or two places of the hilly region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

The weather will be partly cloudy in the mountainous region and mainly fair in the Tarai region towards the afternoon. Light rain or snowfall is likely to occur at one or two places of the mountainous region of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Similarly, the weather will be generally cloudy in the mountainous region of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and partly cloudy in the rest of the hilly region tonight. Light rain or snowfall is likely to occur at one or two places of the mountainous region of Gandaki province.

The Division has urged the general public and bodies concerned to take precaution and take information about the latest weather as there is possibility of rain and lightning in many places of the mountainous region.
