Kathmandu. The meeting of the House of Representatives has begun. The meeting is taking place at the multipurpose hall of the under-construction Federal Parliament Building at Singha Durbar.

The meeting is scheduled to present a proposal seeking the election of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Vice-President Dol Prasad Aryal to the post of Speaker.

Aryal was elected unopposed to the post of Speaker on Friday. Rabi Lamichhane proposed Aryal’s candidacy while lawmakers Swarnim Wagle, Sobita Gautam and Sunil Lamsal seconded it.

The meeting is likely to table the proposal to elect the Speaker.
