Extension of 7 days to investigation against Deepak Khadka

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress (NC) leader and former Energy Minister Deepak Khadka has been remanded in custody for 7 more days for further investigation into the case. He is being investigated in a money laundering case.

He was arrested on March 29 and his remand has been extended for the second time today. Earlier, the Kathmandu District Court had allowed the investigation to be conducted by keeping 7 in custody.

Khadka, a former minister for energy, water resources and irrigation, has been taken into custody for investigation into the money seized from his house during the Sept. 24 agitation.
