Kathmandu. Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Sasmit Pokharel, has said reform of education sector was the first priority. Speaking at a programme organized after inspecting the Sudurpaschim University in Mahendranagar, Kanchanpur on Tuesday, Minister Pokharel said that the government was committed to work for the improvement of education sector across the country.
Education Minister Pokharel, who is also the spokesperson of the government, said that reforms would be ensured in every sector within the next five years. According to him, the government will invest in education and health on the basis of priority in the first year. “The government will give more priority to the schools÷universities that have little access to the past and we will gradually bring reforms in every sector within the next five years,” said Education Minister Pokharel. Investment and grants will also be increased in areas where access is reduced. ’
On the occasion, Minister Pokharel instructed the TU office-bearers and employees to work keeping the government’s issues in their priority. “The next five years are the test period for Nepal. Education, health, agriculture and sports all have their own importance. We should all work as partners. Earlier today, Education Minister Pokharel inspected the Fapla Cricket Ground at Dhangadhi and interacted with the players.
On the occasion, Education Minister Pokharel said the state had given special importance to connect the world with the Phapla Cricket Stadium. He said, “The state has taken the importance of the Fapla Cricket Stadium, which has the largest area and a parapet that can accommodate a large number of spectators. We will pay attention to its resource management and operational effectiveness. ’
He is scheduled to preside over the fourth senate meeting of the Shahid Dasharath Chand University of Health Sciences at Geta, Kailali, on Wednesday and observe various educational and sports areas.
