Kathmandu. Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Dr. A delegation led by the World Bank Country Director for Nepal, David Sissen, paid a courtesy call on Timilsina at his office in Kathmandu on Tuesday.
During the meeting, discussions were held on Nepal Digital Transformation Project, expansion of access for development of information technology sector of the country, data management, digital transformation and governance reforms, according to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
On the occasion, Minister Timilsina thanked the World Bank for its continued support for the socio-economic development of Nepal and said that the ‘Nepal Digital Transformation Project’ would be implemented in a speedy manner.
Stating result-oriented works were already started in infrastructure development and public service delivery after the formation of the new government, he said the government was focused on resolving problems related to projects by carrying out different works in a different way than in the past. He also said that the progress of the projects implemented in collaboration with the World Bank would be seen soon.
