Guru Travels announces strategic partnership with Cancer Council Nepal

Kathmandu. Guru Travels and Cancer Council Nepal have signed a strategic partnership agreement.

Guru Travels Limited, the first public limited travel brand of Nepal, and Cancer Council Nepal, a non-profit organization working in the field of cancer control and awareness, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to jointly promote social responsibility, invest on travel programs in schools, colleges and communities, raise awareness and promote community development.

As part of this collaboration, both organizations aim to conduct cancer awareness programs throughout Nepal, conduct awareness campaigns in schools and colleges, conduct free health camps and early check-up programs, and support cancer patients and their families. It has also been agreed to cooperate in social programs, health awareness tours and activities related to tourism.

The Council was established in 2009 and is a national-level non-governmental organization. It has been working in cancer awareness, early detection, treatment support and palliative care. The organization has been conducting awareness programs and free health camps especially in rural and remote areas.

On the occasion, Council Chairman Rudra Lal Kadariya underscored the need of collective efforts to fight against a complex disease like cancer.
