Kathmandu. There is some influence of Westerly and local wind in the country at present.

The weather will be generally cloudy in most of the hilly areas of the country including in Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces while the weather will be partly cloudy in the rest of the hilly region and mainly fair in the Tarai region.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there will be generally cloudy in the hilly region of Koshi Province and in the Terai region of Koshi Province towards the afternoon.

Light rain or snowfall is likely to occur at some places of the mountainous region of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Thunderstorm is likely to occur at some places of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Similarly, the weather will be partly cloudy in the hilly region and mainly fair in the Tarai region tonight. Light rain or snowfall is likely to occur at some places of the mountainous region of Koshi, Gandaki Province and Karnali Province and at one or two places of the hilly region of Koshi Province and Gandaki Province.

The Division has urged the general public in the areas prone to rain and snowfall and the vehicles operating in these areas to stay alert.
