Shortage of chemical fertilizers across the country, FNCCI demands to ensure supply

. KATHMANDU: The All Nepal Peasants’ Federation (Revolutionary Centre) has demanded that the supply of fertiliser be ensured.

Issuing a press release today, the Federation has demanded the government to ensure the supply of chemical fertilizers, saying there is a shortage of chemical fertilizers throughout the country during the sensitive time of keeping paddy and millet seeds, threshing maize, adding fertilizer to Chaite paddy and vegetable farming throughout the country.TAG_OPEN_div_10

“Rice, maize and millet are strategic crops that have a direct impact on the national economy and the livelihood of farmers, and food security of the citizens.TAG_OPEN_div_8 This problem needs to be solved. ”

The federation has also demanded controlling black marketing, formulating a plan to solve the problem in a long-term manner and distributing fertilizers on a priority basis keeping in mind the interest of small and producing farmers.TAG_OPEN_div_6
