New Year is the day to make resolutions for achieving common national goals: President Poudel

. President Ram Chandra Poudel has said the New Year is the day for us to make common national goals of the nation and make determination to achieve them.

Extending best wishes for happiness, peace, prosperity, good health and long life on the occasion of the New Year 2083, the Prime Minister said that the goal would not be achieved in vain and determination and meditation were necessary to achieve the goal.TAG_OPEN_div_26 He stressed on the need of adopting rules and regulations as well as cultured behavior and conduct to achieve the set goals.

Stating that the ‘Sambats’ in practice in the country have been an important part of our history, civilization and life, President Poudel said the ‘Sambats’ would remind us of Nepal’s glorious past representing our civilization, social life and traditions and inspire us to move towards a better future.TAG_OPEN_div_24

“We Nepalis have been taking the New Year as a special day to review the past and make resolutions for the future actions,” he said, adding, “It has been our tradition to set life goals on special festivals and days and be committed to fulfilling them.”TAG_OPEN_div_22 ”

President Poudel said that a new government has been formed with the new mandate of the people, saying the difficult situation that has emerged in the country has been resolved with the successful completion of the election to the House of Representatives.TAG_OPEN_div_20

“Through this election, the Nepali people have expressed their desire for the rule of law, sustainable peace, good governance, development and prosperity along with social justice through the federal democratic republican system of governance,” he said.TAG_OPEN_div_18 ”

Stating that some determinations should be made to achieve the national goals we want to achieve, he stressed that we should be committed to the ideal of federal democratic republic in heart, word and deed.TAG_OPEN_div_16 President Poudel was of the view that we should move ahead keeping the citizens at the centre, be committed to good governance, inclusion and social justice and not let the country’s independence and sovereignty breach at any cost.

President Poudel wished that may the New Year create determination and capacity to fulfill the goals set by the Federal Democratic Republic and may it inspire to further consolidate national unity by deepening the feeling of mutual trust, goodwill, tolerance and cooperation among the Nepalis.TAG_OPEN_div_14
