Kathmandu. Kathmandu: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) in collaboration with Sajha Yatayat is to operate night public transport from today.
In the first phase, night electric bus service is to be operated from Lagankhel to Budhanilkantha, Budhanilkantha-Lagankhel, Thankot Airport and Thankot in the Kathmandu Valley.
The program will be inaugurated from Sajha Yatayat Office, Pulchowk at 7:00 pm.

According to KMC, the Sajha Yatayat will be inaugurated from the Pulchowk office at 7:00 pm.
The second phase of the route passes through Lagankhel, Patan Hospital, Alka, Norvic, Maternity Hospital, Trauma Centre, Bir Hospital, Kanti Hospital, Teaching Hospital, Gangalal Heart Centre and Budhanilkantha. It is a 16-km north-south one-way route.
The one-way distance from Thankot to the International Airport via Satungal, Kalanki, Kalimati, Tripureshwor, Thapathali, Maitighar Mandala, Baneshwor, Minbhawan and Tinkune is 20 kilometers in the east-west direction. There will be 4 night electric buses on these two routes.
The buses will operate from 8 pm to 11 pm. Buses will arrive at bus stops every 20 minutes. The buses will be equipped with CCTV cameras. The city police will be there for security.
