Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Balendra Shah is scheduled to hold discussions with chief ministers of all seven provinces today for the first time after assuming office.
The meeting will take place at 2:00 pm today at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar.
The meeting will focus on expediting development works, ensuring the proper allocation of resources and resolving various administrative and economic problems facing the provinces.
The agenda of the meeting will also be on how to strengthen cooperation between the Centre and the provinces for the effective implementation of the national priority plans.
The meeting is also expected to make efforts to build a common understanding on the country’s current economic situation, infrastructure development, improvement in service delivery and maintaining good governance.
The meeting has been taken as an important step towards making the implementation of federalism more effective and directly benefiting the people.
