Kathmandu. The Embassy of Nepal in Bangkok has rescued 46 Nepalis from Cambodia. All of them have returned home.

They arrived in Cambodia through various means and were rescued with the help of the Cambodian government and repatriated after receiving information that they were engaged in illegal activities.

According to the embassy, 101 Nepalis arrived in Cambodia in 2021, 1,977 in 2022, 2,940 in 2023, 6,404 in 2024 and 9,676 in 2025.

The embassy has also urged Nepalis not to go to Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand without obtaining work permit.
